Happy Holidays!

From our house to yours!

Happy Holidays!

Seasons Greetings! December 2006
Hi! Well, we are sitting here wondering where in the world did 2006 go!? It seems this year has flown by at mach 10 speed! Good ol’ Jack Frost has crept into Memphis today with a chilly temperature of 36 degrees. However, our lantanas and hydrangeas are still alive which gives us much hope for a mild winter. Last winter we were blessed to have Susan’s mom, sister, nephew (Jake), as well as Carter’s mom here in Memphis for an early Christmas. It was a treasure to have family here for the holidays. We plan on visiting Tucson in the middle of January 2007 for a little vacation.

Speaking of Tucson, Susan went out there last May to surprise her grandma on a big birthday. I won’t say which birthday but it was “finety!” Grandma Solomon looks great and is getting more acclimated to her desert surroundings. Some sad news to report as well, Susan’s grandfather, Mike Chichersky, passed away in October. He was a smart and funny man and he will be missed. His memorial service is set for the middle of January in Tucson.

We have been fortunate with our work schedules to travel a lot. We have been on several road trips this year and seen so much of America. We have lots of traveling plans for the next year too! One special trip we took was to Hickory, NC. Carter’s cousin, Sam, was married in September. It was a beautiful wedding and wonderful to see family again.

Susan has truly enjoyed working in the NICU at Le Bonheur. She has enjoyed her job so much she is pursuing her master’s degree in nursing. She hopes to have her MSN by May of 2008. On November 20th of this year she was inducted in to Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honors Society of Nursing. Who knew she liked school so much?!

Carter is enjoying his position as a conductor/switchman for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He is actually home a lot more than he is on the road. This summer he went to Heber Springs, Arkansas with our dear friends, the Brandon’s. He was so proud to catch a big bass fish on this trip! Carter’s dad came to Memphis for a visit and the two guys went fishing together. They both caught gobs of fish and had a fun time on the lake.

As for Petey and Zena, they have become used to being spoiled but we wouldn’t have it any other way!

In closing, from our family to yours have a healthy and happy new year filled with blessings and love!

All Our Love,
Carter, Susan, Zena and Petey
