Seasons Greetings

Happy Holidays!!! December 2007

Well, the time is upon us again. The holidays are right around the corner and the cold weather has settled in to stay. As 2007 closes we prepare for a new year with new beginnings and resolutions (we hope to keep this time)!

In early January we headed out West to Tucson for Susan's mom's milestone birthday. Her party was so much fun and it was truly wonderful to see friends and family who also flew in for the big event!

Sadly, in early March Susan's dad, Larry Solomon, passed away unexpectedly. He was a wonderful man whose wisdom and guidance will be missed by those he touched. However, he will continue to live in our hearts and we'll always remember what an admirable individual he truly was.

In May we took a much needed vacation to Temple/San Antonio/Austin areas in Texas. Carter fed an otter at Sea World and we got a "soggy" wave from Shamu! We were fortunate Texas is so beautiful as we may be planting roots there in the near future.

As for Susan, work and school have been keeping her quite busy. She is still happily working in the neonatal intensive care unit at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center and working on her master's of science in nursing. She can't wait for her August 2008 graduation!

Carter continues to work for the BNSF railroad and has been able to work locally more instead of being on the road. Susan really appreciates that he is home more often. He also took a nice break to go fishing with a good friend in Arkansas this summer.

Susan has been able to get back to Tucson a few times this year and was able to celebrate her nephew, Jake's, 3rd birthday with him. He sure is growing like a weed.

We were also able to get away this month for a New Jersey/New York trip. We celebrated a family Bar Mitzvah and went in to New York City for a couple of days! We were so excited because the whole family made it out East. Susan's mom, her sister, brother-in-law, and Jake were all there! It was wintery-cold but a wonderful family get-together around the holidays! It was great to see the Solomon's and 'catch-up!'

As for these holidays we plan to spend them together, very low-key and cozy! I know Zena and Petey will love that! We pray that your families are healthy and happy and may 2008 be full of peace and blessings!

All Our Love,
Carter, Susan, Zena and Petey

Happy Fall Ya'll!

I know, I know, it's been a long six months since I have last posted. It has been one heck of a 2007!

We did manage to sneak away to San Antonio, Texas for a much needed break from reality. Here we are in front of "The Alamo." I didn't realize this city was so rich in history!

We look like a couple of tourists, don't we?! Well, we had fun anyway!

We also made it to Sea World, Carter's favorite place in the world! We fed sea lions, dolphins and even got a "wave" from Shamu!

We also went to the Guiness Book of World Records Museum and sat on a bench with a famous person!

I was also fortunate enough to go back to Tucson several times this summer to see my mom, Sara, Boe, Grandma, and Jake! My-oh-my, Jake is getting so big! He turned 3 during my visit and had a wonderful time opening presents and "feeding" everyone!

Have a wonderful Halloween and Thanksgiving!

With Love,

Carter and Susan

Happy February!

Will you be my sweetheart...........?

Love is in the cold air here in Memphis, that's for sure! Here we are already into the second month of the new year! Time flies when you're having fun! Carter and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Tucson. It was great to see friends and family! My sweet little nephew Jake played "shy" but was playing hide and seek under the kitchen table before too long! We celebrated my mom's 60th birthday (although she doesn't look a day over 35!) with friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. She was the "Belle of the Ball!" She even donned a a top that said, "Too Sexy to be 60!"

We stayed with Carter's mom and had fun watching the "horrible" auditions for American Idol together. I can't remember laughing so hard! We also spent time with the DiMaria's at their beautiful home. Jean and Brandon cooked a delicious meal and I got to play with the boys. My, they are growing so fast!

We hung out with Jeff and Lori Hammer and saw their new property! It is beautiful with picturesque views!

We also celebrated Grandpa Chichersky's life! He had a long fulfilling go at this life and we remembered him on January 15th at his memorial service. Later, we went out to eat, shed tears, shared stories, sang songs, but mostly reminisced!

On our last day we spent time with one of my very bestest friends in Tucson, Barb Salcido! She and I did our "bagel buddy" thing at Breugger's, I sure do miss Barb a lot!

Now we are back to our old routine, working, school, working, working.....

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day and don't forget to do lots of hugging and cuddling on February 14th!
