Happy Fall Ya'll!

There is a chill in the air and a dampness in the grass-yup! Fall has finally shown her face! Have you picked out a pumpkin yet or a halloween costume? I just pulled the scarecrow down from the attic along with the scarecrow family that sits on the fireplace. We are ready for the little ones this Halloween as last year we got over 100 trick-or-treaters!

Just to catch you up on our doings the last few months we will need to back up a few weeks----

The Caugh house has been busy with trips, trips, and more trips! Carter went elk hunting with his dad and Jeff Kartheiser in Northern Arizona two weeks ago and had a great time camping out with his dad. They saw some incredible wildlife and even got close enough to an elk taking a drink at the creek nearby! Here is a picture of the boys with their 'gear' on!

Carter's mom and Susan's mom took a road trip in August to celebrate Susan's graduation! It was so much fun to have our moms in town. We took total advantage of the week and went to Beale Street, the Peabody Hotel, and Nashville. Sadly, there wasn't any time to go to Graceland but we did stop by Barbara Mandrell's house and oooh and ahhh at the gate to her driveway! Here is a picture of graduation day outside of our house!

Susan and Holly at graduation!

Here is Susan and her Mom with matching sweatshirts, two country sweethearts!

In late September we road-tripped to North Carolina to celebrate Carter's grandma, Mama Pat's, 90th birthday! It was a wonderful celebration. We saw cousins, aunts, and uncles and Susan met her nephew, Liam for the first time! Here is Carter holding a sleepy Liam!

A wonderful picture of four generations; Kathy, Mama Pat, Mary Ellen and Liam!

All in all, it has been a great late summer, early fall! No telling what the rest of Fall and Winter will bring! We send our best Autumn wishes to all of our friends and family!
Love,
The Caughs

Our Trip to Florida

We were able to spring loose from the demands of work and school to take a necessary vacation to Clearwater, Florida. The weather was beautiful and the dolphins and sea life were breathtaking!

Here we are at an aquarium standing by a painted turtle! Wearing "sneakers!"

We ate at a restaurant right on the water and watched the dolphins play, it was an amazing sight!

We can't WAIT to go back! :)

Fishing with Dad

Carter's Dad came out for a wonderful visit! The two Caugh men ventured out many a morning in the wee hours to catch some fish at nearby lakes and ponds!

One morning Jeff Kartheiser, Dad, Carter, and Susan went fishing and caught a bunch of catfish and blue gill!

Carter's big catch of the day.......

Even though Susan was bought a nice Shakespeare "Ugly Stick" in pink, she still couldn't touch the fish after being smacked in the face by a catfish trying to get off her fish hook!

All in all, it was a great day of fishing and catching!

Great supper that night too!

We took Dad to Beale Street and had a "bluesy" time at BB King's!

Snapped this shot while Dad was at rest among nature in our back yard with his new hunting chair!

We had a wonderful visit and hope that Memphis will be a frequent vacation spot for the Caugh family!

Graduation!

Well...it is finally that time! Susan will be graduating in the middle of August. Yippee!! No more papers, presentations, or theses to write!

School has been quite an adventure and Susan is ready to have a normal life again! (Normal? What's that?) Carter has been more than patient and understanding these last two years as Susan has been stressed, anxious, panicked, and sleep deprived throughout the whole process! They are both looking forward to some semblance of normalcy!

Thank you to all who have been supportive and encouraging. Susan often thinks about going for her PhD....nah!!!

Holly Marries the Doctor!

Hi! Last weekend we had the privilege of being part of Susan's best friend from nursing school's wedding. The wedding took place in Jackson, Tennessee. Susan was a bridesmaid, Holly looked beautiful, and we had so much fun!

The Big Apple at Christmastime!

Hi! We hope your holidays were fun and eventful! We sure enjoyed spending a quiet Christmas at home with our puppies (spoiled rotten!) hee hee!! We were fortunate enough to go to NYC for a few days in December and we took lots of pictures and saw every building and street you see in the movies. It was Carter's first time in the city and we had so much fun!

Here we are at Tiffany and Co. No, I didn't get a little blue box in my stocking nor did we have Breakfast at Tiffany's but it was sure fun to look around!!

Susan in the "Newborn Nursery" at FAO Schwartz and Co. The employees that work in that department are dressed up like nurses. What a fun job!!

Also at FAO Schwartz at Legoland! These Starwars guys were made out of legos! So was Harry Potter, Darth Vader, SpongeBob and Santa! It was amazing!
